Farzan Clinical Research and Sanofi-Aventis will launch OPTIC registry in Iran. They have signed a contract and will soon begin the registry in 5 major Iranian hospitals.
The Outcomes in Patients with TIA and Cerebrovascular disease (OPTIC) registry with the registration number of CLOPI_R_01789, recruits patients for secondary prevention of stroke.
Five clinical sites are located in Tehran and Mashhad, including Hazrat-e-Rasul Hospital, Sina Hospital, Shariati Hospital, Loghman Hospital and Firuzgar Hospital. Patients would be followed for a period of 2 years.
